Due to the high print
resolution of modern printers the actual print head has holes (which
the ink spurts out from) which are smaller in diameter than a human
hair !
As printers become more hi tech the problem of print heads clogging
also becomes more common. There are a number of ways to minimise
this from happening.
These include buying your inkjet cartridges from a reputable
dealer, not leaving your printer sitting for long periods of
time and not printing untill the ink cartridge is fully empty.
Often if the print head is clogged running a head cleaning cycle
is not enough to remove the dried ink within. Take a look at
the following video and remember that you can use your own brand
of cleaning fluid to flush the print head. If you have a removable
print head such as in most Canon printers it is much easier to
simply remove it from the printer and flush it out with hot water
!
