Ink Hub stocks a huge range of Genuine and Compatible (Generic) ink cartridges and toner cartridges to suit most HP Printers. HP have always been one of the leaders in innovation in both inkjet and laser printer technology. One advantage that the HP Inkjet printer has is that it utilises a Thermal Printhead. The thermal printhead tends to be far superior in regards to not clogging and overall are less problematic than the Piezo printhead which Epson and Brother use.
What to Avoid when buying a HP Printer
One of the biggest issues people face when shopping for a new printer is the cost of consumables. Many of the latest HP Printers only utilize two cartridges. These type of cartridges are very expensive to replace and are also very unreliable in their generic form. This is one of the reasons that we don't stock all of the available generic HP cartridges as many of them are simply not reliable.
When purchasing a new inkjet printer it is always advisable to check the price of replacement cartridges or wether non genuine cartridges are available before making your final decision.
Reasons not to buy a HP Printer
The main reason why I would strongly deter people from buying a HP printer is the same reason I would argue against buying an Epson or Brother printer. These printer companies are all working hard to combat the use of generic cartridges by constantly updating the firmware. Most people are unaware that updates are even happening as depending on their computers settings they may not even be alerted that the update has occurred.
These updates can occur at very regular intervals and it is very hard for the manufacturers of generic cartridges to overcome these changes and to produce a cartridge which wont be rejected in some way by the printer. HP are very vigilant at doing these firmware updates with most of their latest printers so be warned that you may not be able to avoid paying big dollars for the genuine HP cartridges.
